Learners who enrol in the Installation strand will be able to: On completion learners will be able to install and maintain networks and systems or service and repair a diverse range of end-user appliances, goods and/or equipment at a non-complex level. This course is for learners wanting to enter the electrotechnology industry as either an installer or an Electrical Appliance Serviceperson. They will also be able to undertake the EWRB examination to allow them to service mains powered equipment.Diagnose, repair and service a diverse range of equipment at a non-complex level and supervise electrical workers.Learners who enrol in the Service strand will be able to: Operate as technicians at intermediate level under indirect supervision.Undertake the installation, maintenance, restoration, scoping and connectivity of efficient, reliable, and secure data and communication systems and hardware.Learners who enrol in the Installation strand will be able to: On completion learners will be able to install and maintain radio & data networks and systems or services and repair a range of user equipment at a non-complex level into fixed and mobile installations. This course is for anyone entering the electrotechnology industry as either an installer or a serviceperson and is an intermediate step to the Level 4 Customer Premises Systems qualification (with strands in: Structured Cabling, Control and Automation, Signal Reception and Distribution Systems or System Installation for Relocatable and/or Mobile Locations).
